The reception hall was full of people that they personally knew, or worked with. As they walked in, there were cheers of happiness. The room covered with red and white streamers and balloons. The tables, covered with white tablecloths, had rose petals on them, with a candle in the middle. The cake, which was in the center of the room, was three tiers of white with red roses. Naomi felt as if she was in a fairy tale. Little Guy noticed Maria sitting at the table closest to the cake, staring him down, with fork in hand. Tamoe and Damon were sitting at the table closest to the bathroom. The only rectangular table in the room was reserved for the wedding party. Gabe pulled Maria away to sit at the right side. Hank and Claire sat on the left. The couple made their way to the table, sitting in the middle. The DJ announced their entrance and welcomed everybody.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Navel-Kimishima wedding reception! We'll get things underway here in a few minutes, but first, I would like to congratulate the bride and groom. May you have a lifetime of happiness. Now who's ready for cake?"
Maria shot up and ran over to it, practically drooling. Gabe ran after her, restraining her.
"Stop it! You are embarrassing everybody here!"
"I don't care! YOU are the one that made me this way, asshole!"
"What do you mean?"
"Your cooking SUCKS!"
The DJ tried to reel everybody in.
"Hey now, if ya'll are gonna fight, take it outside!"
They made their way to the exit, yelling the whole way. The DJ motioned for Litle Guy and Naomi to make their way to the center of the room. Naomi picked up the knife and held it in both hands, slightly trembling in nervousness. Her nerves were settled when she felt a hand on the small of her back, and another one on top of hers. The flashes of cameras were going off as they cut the first slice of cake. They passed out the pieces until there was only 2 left. They both got plates. Little Guy noticed the look in Naomi's eyes.
"Don't you dare! I-I will do it too!"
But it was too late. Little Guy was pelted in the face with cake. He wiped it out of his eyes to find his wife sticking her tongue out at him in amusement. He readied his piece, determination in his eyes.
"You wouldn't! Little Guy, I swear If you do-"
Little Guy shoved it in her face. She swore she even snorted some icing. The guests laughed and took pictures. She handed a napkin to him and cleaned her face off. A glass was clinked, and they kissed.
"Well, the icing tastes good." Naomi playfully poked him in the side with her fork, smiling.
After an hour of cake eating and laughter, Hank stood up and clinked his glass.
"I propose a toast, to the very lucky couple. I have known these two ever since the Rosalia outbreak. Since then, all of us at Resurgam have been inseperatable. We have had laughter, pain, triumph and sorrow. Memories have definitely been made. But these two... you cannot have a deeper love. Sure, Naomi can be a little bit... demanding... but she has the heart of gold. As for James, he has the patience of a saint. He wakes up in the morning, trying to make his self a better man for his new family. I wish you the best of luck, and you both are going to raise Alyssa to be a strong woman."
The guests applauded and cheered. Hank blushed and sat back down. Little Guy patted him on the back as thanks. The DJ made positive remarks and announced for the newlyweds to get on the dance floor. Little Guy grabbed her hand and put his other hand on her waist, and her hand on his shoulder. The music started, soft and slow.
I never had no one
I could count on
I've been let down so many times
I was tired of hurtin'
So tired of searchin'
'til you walked into my life
It was a feelin'
I'd never known
And for the first time
I didn't feel alone
Little Guy really did feel alone in this world. His parents abandoned him, and his grandparents were too strung out on pain killers and booze to care. He felt so cold and resentful to the world. He joined Delphi just to try to prove to his self that he CAN do something right, only to be trapped in a world filled with destruction once more. He thought there was no way out, until Naomi came into his life. She had saved his life one too many times to count. She even kept him from injecting GUILT into his own bloodstream, just to end the pain and loneliness. Witness Protection kept her away from him, and that was like ripping his beating heart out of his chest. When he found out that she was with CIFM, he HAD to see her again, so he conned his way into the FBI. The reunion was bittersweet, but they slowly mended their friendship. She often came into his office, just to shoot the breeze. He finally told her how he felt one day, and she was stone cold. She left without another word, unless it was business.
It killed him to see her hurt from the Rosalia Virus. When they wheeled her into recovery, he was right by her side. The only reason he would leave was to get food or he went to go check on Alyssa. When she was finally released from the hospital, he was there. He cooked and cleaned, and made sure she had everything she needed or wanted. That woman was his angel, his savior with silver hair.
You're more than a lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do
Oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Every Time I look at you
I don't know where I'd be
Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
You're my best friend
You're my best friend, oh yeah
You stand by me
And you believe in me
Like nobody ever has
When my world goes crazy
You're right there to save me
You make me see how much I have
And I still tremble
When we touch
And oh the look in your eyes
When we make love
Naomi lived in despair for far too long. Ever since birth, people have been weary of her because there "isn't something right about that girl." Their suspicions were right when the press found out about "The Witch Doctor." Her parents even turned their back on her. She accepted to come to America for a new beginning, a new life. But when she arrived, she was forced into Delphi. They took her for a fool, an ignorant little girl. She tried her hardest to prove them wrong, to try to get respect. Nobody paid any attention, except Little Guy. He felt the same way, trying to fit in and get acceptance. They quickly became friends. He was her confidant, her rock, as she was his. They needed each other to survive that nightmare. She fought so hard to try to keep contact with him, but the Witness Protection Program wasn't having it. Then, she was nailed with the news of her genetic disease. She consumed herself in her work, to ease the grief. She found out that he was her assistant, she tried to act cold and nonchalant, but her heart was screaming for him.
When Rosalia striked, it knocked her for a loop. . Thevirus eradicated the dormant disease, and she was free to live her life the way she wanted. When she saw him after the surgery, she professed her love.

The song ended, and they embraced. Naomi sobbed softly into his chest, not wanting this moment to ever end. He held her tight, whispering sweet nothings into her ear. All of a sudden, the guests hear a ear splitting scream. Naomi looked around and noticed Tamoe wasn't in the room. Alyssa came running onto the dance floor, tugging on Little Guy's pant leg.
"Tamoe is in pain! Mommy,Little Guy,do something!"
Naomi ran off the dance floor and into the bathroom, where Tamoe was doubled over, clutching her stomach. Fluid was pooled around her feet.
"Naomi.... the baby... it's coming!"
"Oh dear..."
She ran out and got Damon, and came back in.
"Ok here's what we're gonna do. Dr. Sartre, you time her contractions. I'll go try to find Maria. And Tamoe... stay calm."
The waiting room was full of worried wedding guests, anxious about Tamoe's conditon. Maria was in the corner, eating the slice of cake that she had nabbed from one of the tables before leaving. Naomi and Little Guy were asleep in the chairs, her head resting on his shoulder. Alyssa was quietly playing with the Legos that were supplied. Gabe was trying to calm down a worried Damon, who was fidgeting in his seat. The nurse came through the doors, motioning for Damon to come with. It was finally time.
After an hour, Damon busted through the doors, grinning from ear to ear.
"It's a girl!"
The room was filled with cheers.
Gabe smirked. "Great. Do we get cigars?"
"Sadly, no. But come on, they cleaned her up and everything."
They all walked in to see Tamoe holding her baby, wrapped in a pink blanket.
"We decided on the name Mira Rose. It has a ring to it, don't it?"
Alyssa wormed her way to the front of the crowd, eyes big of wonder.
"Oh wow! I want a little brother or sister now!"
